RECOMMENDATIONS FOR APPLICATION
Antivirin is prescribed for the prevention and treatment of viral infections, such as influenza, SARS, sore throat, herpes, hepatitis, inflammation of the intestines, bladder and urinary tract. Antivirin has antipyretic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, as well as strengthens immunity and increases the body's resistance to adverse factors. Antivirin is recommended to be taken in the following cases:
- At the first symptoms of cold or flu, such as runny nose, cough, sore throat, headache, weakness, fever.
- With chronic diseases of the respiratory tract, such as bronchitis, asthma, sinusitis, rhinitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, pneumonia.
- With allergic reactions accompanied by swelling of the mucous membranes, itching, urticaria, angioedema.
- With viral liver diseases, such as hepatitis A, B, C, D, E, as well as with chronic hepatitis and liver cirrhosis.

Antivirin is taken orally, 30 minutes before or 1.5-2 hours after a meal, drinking a sufficient amount of water. It is not recommended to take the drug together with dairy products, tea, coffee, juices, alcohol, as this can reduce its effectiveness and cause unwanted reactions.
RECOMMENDED DOSES
The recommended dose of Antivirin depends on age, weight, state of health and nature of the disease. General dosage recommendations are as follows:
- Adults and children over 12 years old should take 1-2 tablets 2-3 times a day.
- Children aged 6 to 11 years should take 1 tablet 2-3 times a day.
- Children aged 3 to 5 years should take 1/2 tablet 2-3 times a day.
- The maximum daily dose for adults and children over 12 years old is 6 tablets, for children aged 6 to 11 years - 3 tablets, for children aged 3 to 5 years - 1.5 tablets. The duration of the course of treatment should not exceed 10 days without consulting a doctor.
CONTRAINDICATION
Antivirin is not recommended to be taken in the following cases:
- Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug or to other plants of the aster, component, aralia families.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Children under 3 years of age.
- Ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum in the acute stage or with an increased risk of bleeding.

- Arterial hypertension, heart failure, ischemic heart disease, arrhythmia, tachycardia.
- Diabetes, hyperthyroidism, pheochromocytoma, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
- Epilepsy, mental disorders, increased excitability, nervous exhaustion, neuroses, insomnia.
- Taking anticoagulants, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, hypoglycemic, sedative, antidepressants, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, glucocorticoids.
FORM OF ISSUE
The drug "Antivirin" is produced in the form of tablets containing 500 mg of active components. Tablets have a round shape, white color. The package contains 60 tablets.
